Ingrid Millington, who owns Hillview Hardy Plants near Worfield, was filmed for the programme when she visited the Royal Horticultural Society's Malvern spring gardening show. The TV programme was shot on location at the show, which took place on May 7. Ingrid appeared with gardening personality Sarah Raven to talk about Aquilegias, which are currently going through a phase of renewed popularity. She said: "I had a ten minute slot talking about cottage garden plants which Sarah Raven asked me about. "Gardeners' World are planting their own cottage garden and so she was asking me about plants for it. "The programme makers wanted three nurseries who were appearing at the show to provide them with a different plant each which will then be planted in the programme's cottage garden," she added. "We suggested Aquilegias because they are very popular again." She added: "We were going to the show anyway but we had to get up earlier because of taking part in the filming. I did enjoy it and since the show we have had a lot of interest in the nursery and Aquilegias. For further details contact the nursery on (01746) 716454. |
